Asbestos Management
Abastra will manage your asbestos problem by carrying out a full asbestos survey in accordance with the Method for the Determination of Hazardous Substances (MDHS) 100.
The survey will provide information on any asbestos identified, its condition and how it should be managed. i.e. labelled, encapsulated or removed. All of which Abastra can assist you with.
The survey then forms part of your asbestos register in compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (CAR 2006). The register must be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure the safe management of any asbestos identified during the survey. Abastra use Multibase survey system softwear to contral all surveys which assist you with all on going re-inspection.
Online Asbestos awareness course:
Regulation 10 of the CAWR 2006 (Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006) places a duty to ensure asbestos awareness training is given to employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos. In particular, it should be given to demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that there work will disturb the fabric of the building because ACMs (Asbestos Containing Materials) may become exposed during their work.
